Brief:
Create an experience where the participant takes a picture in front of a display where once the picture is revealed, there is a ghost in it. The application also needed to send the image automatically to the participant without storing his/ her phone number and other personal details.
Approach:
To place a ghost convincingly in the picture the participant has to appear in front of the ghost. For this result a custom built inhouse software was used that separated the participant from the background using an infrared depth sensor. A ghost was placed in-between the background and the participant to create a final composite that was revealed once the participant took the picture, creating a frightening finale.
Impact:
The activation had only satisfied faces as participants saw the final result of the picture. The setup attracted thousands of people in the space of a 4 day activation period.
